Choosing the right running equipment

560views

As the beautiful days approach, after the end of the year celebrations or for the start of the school year in September, you want to start running. Running with your hair in the wind in the middle of nature or on the banks of a river in town particularly appeals to you, but you are not sure where to start. Indeed, it is better to avoid starting overnight without having first purchased equipment that is suitable for running.

Without good shoes, for example, you risk having pain in your feet at the end of your first run, but also in your back, since each stride will compress your vertebrae! Shoes that provide good cushioning are recommended, but they are not the only products you will need to buy. Once you are a regular runner, you will want to improve, and as we will see later, again, you will need to equip yourself, albeit in a different way!

What equipment to choose to start running?

You will understand, the first thing to do is to buy a pair of sneakers suitable for running. You will find it in all sports shops but also on the Internet at varying prices. For starters, you don’t have to invest a hundred dollars in a pair of shoes, the important thing is that they fit your foot and have been created for running. Remember to take a few pairs of socks at the same time, running barefoot is prohibited and socks specially designed for running will protect your feet and prevent you from walking with difficulty after your first run.

You will also need a t-shirt to run, choose anti-perspirant and lightweight materials so you don’t feel that your clothes are sticking to your skin in less than 5 minutes of running. Also, don’t forget to take shorts or a capri pants if you don’t have one in your closet! Jogging can quickly be unpleasant because the effort will make you hot very quickly.

Finally, it is advisable to choose a bra that maintains the chest perfectly in order to avoid back pain and above all, to ensure maximum comfort during your run!

What equipment can you invest in to improve yourself?

Once you practice running on a regular basis, you will want to progress, to run longer or faster. You can choose to run with others who enjoy the sport and challenge yourself to hopefully improve.

However, if you prefer solitude, you can opt for an app on your smartphone or, even more convenient, a watch. We are not talking here of a dial watch but ofa GPS watch for running, designed to help you progress quickly and easily. Different data will be collected by this watch, your running rate, your heart rate, the distance covered each day, etc. This information will be sent to the medium of your choice, tablet, smartphone, and you can then analyze it. You may be offered challenges and you can use this watch as an MP3 if you like running to music! This little accessory can definitely revolutionize your sports practice.
